 NM is very close to setting a new record

NM needs to rise .23' to set a new lake level record set back in 5/18/68.
440.36' = 15.86' above normal.
Current level is 440.13'
The top of the gates are 443.00', there is 2.87' of free board left on the gates.....
The Corp of Engineers said the gates are not designed for the water to go over the gates, time will tell.
They may not can wait for the Trinity River to go down before opening the gates if we get another big rain......

Here is a little note COE...
If the gates ain't made for water to go over, you might want to open them.
A little flooding is better than a catastrophic failure.

Haven't been out to see Elmo at the Marina in a while. Is the Marina weathering the high levels well? He has done so much to make that a great place to fish, I was kinda worried.

Went to the marina today and it was closed, Elmo was not around.
Entrance to the marina.... Boat ramp at Oak Park, about 12' under water.... More rain coming late tonight, early Sat. morning.....
Crappie fishing... what else is there ??
