Lake level is 249.3. 11.3 feet above normal. Releasing 1809 cfs. That's the highest release rate I have seen this year.

Up another foot since last night. Another flash flood this morning.

Lake level is 252.8. 14.8 feet above normal. They lowered the flow to 1147 cfs but didn't close the gates completely this time.

Lake information shows the spillway crest is 258 feet.

Gates are shut....my guess it will hit the spillway sometime late tomorrow or early Thursday morning if the gates stay closed and I am guessing they will stay that way for the most part today.....at 15.14 as of 10:35 this morning and up almost a foot since midnight....its coming guys,...If the catfish spawn in May and early June, next year should be great for catfishing (if the water does not go down really fast and leave them in pools of water high and dry). Look at all the new cover the fry can hide in. Hopefully the draw down will be slow enough for that to happen but doubtful.

Went out Saturday. Took the little ferry to Overlook dock. Surreal with the high water. We caught almost 100 catfish in front of the dam along the riprap on CJ's. 3-7 feet of water. If they aren't spawning yet they are close, dark charcoal larger males and many smaller females w normal coloring. We ended up with 25 nice ones to take home, a great day on the water.

Water is now overflowing. I was at the dam and they were closing the road off to the overflow area. Access from Somerville across the dam only. The spillway gates were closed and nobody was catching fish.
