Very nice fish guys. Wilson Biddy knows his stuff. It is great advice to watch and learn how the regulars fish and what equipment they use. They use the lighter more expensive rods and reels because the big long surf rods tear your body up after a while. Their set up allows for long casts with less effort. They still have enough backbone to bring big fish in.

I suspect they had 91 closed both way due to severe weather forecast for today. There were several funnels spotted in Grayson County but missed Denison and the dam. Pottsboro did have some powerful straight line winds. I suspect the COE did not want the spillway full of people and the dam road full of cars with people trying to get to the spillway during these storms.

Just picked up my new setup for the dam yesterday. I'll probably respool it with some 100lb. mono, just to be safe.

Doug, camo hat with velcro patches, ugly stik gear bag.

Went out there sun day and Monday caught 2 on Sunday and 3 on Monday me bought a 10' Rod but noticed it was a little stiff compared to what everyone else out there was using everyone else's Rod had a whip to it. What's a good all around surf Rod? I have a tsunami 10' trophy series paid 90 for it but the Rod I saw the pros out there using had a golden tuna looking fish on them anyone know what they are?

Also I wasnt using a leader they were is it common for people to go from main line to a heavier braid then to fluoro leader?
