somehow this smells like human flesh. Got like 200 pounds of meat out of a 50pnd cat. Had to secretly borrow my neighbors trash bin for a few days for the carcass:( i like to keep my bins clean. We either dig a hole and bury them (free fertilizer for the veggie garden) or someone dumps them in a commercial trash bin.

the dam is open 24-7-365 unless something un-foreseen happens to cause a shut down. its a different animal to fish with 45,000cfs flowing but it can be fun..

Just left the dam. I've never seen more cars there in my life. Exit off 75 was backed up to the highway. Probably 40 fishermen on the wall and hundreds of cars in parking lot and general area. Saw a good number of fish caught up to 15+lbs. Wish I had a surf rod.

Thank you for your warning, I'll definitely leave the kid home . It's too dangerous. Ya its pretty dangerous out there. Back in the mid 90s when we went out there I was probably in 4th or 5th grade and my dad had told me not to go down to the steps without him because it was dangerous. Of course I didn't listen and went down there to cool off in the cold water. A huge wave hit me and knocked me off the railing and when the wave receded it sucked me down the side of the wall on the river side of the railing. I thought I was a goner but I guess I used up all the luck in my life and Another wave hit pushing me upwards towards the railing and I grabbed on with all my might and waited for the water to recede. Then took off running back to my dad. I didn't tell him what happened because I was afraid of get in trouble.

just got back. no stripers caught or seen today. nailed a 35# blue on a bucktail, lost a much bigger one I couldn't stop with my stella & probably 18# drag, popped my main line when it got in the current, no stopping 'em when that happens. MarkK got a 15#, NoGeese got a buch of drums & carps, but not bad for a 1st-timer hardcore fishing on the OK side, with 2-3' waves crashing the bank. Be prepared to get wet, & bring your A-game already seeing lots of donated gear due to inadequate equipment. Wilson is still up there, so I'll post some pics when he gets back with a report. it's monster season........ good luck, yall!

So.. What happen on OK side? Saw a boat getting towed in with no one on it. Lots of light action over there any news? According to the local news a father and son were in the boat to do some fishing. Evidently he did not quite know what he was doing and flipped the boat. Both had life jackets on and we plucked out of the water by another boat. It may have been one of Speeds airboats. You have to know what you are doing and how to handle a boat in that type of current. Thank God they were both okay.

you know that airboat ride garbage going on down there just seems like the most irresponsible way to make a buck. I don't know the people, or if they're legit, or if they carry insurance but that river is bigger than Ive' ever seen it, & it's no place for joyriders let alone profiteers also I saw plenty of times when 6-8 yr old kids that didnt weigh more than the fish we were catching getting right up & playing on a railing as water blasted by @ 10 knots with no supervision, official or otherwise. Irresponsible on so many levels. that's how kids die
sorry if thats rude but it's how I feel

When condition is like that what's the proper way to do it? will cork fishing work from tx side against wall?
Wilson, are those cats good eating?
Moon, let's go fishing. i need to try corks i got from you. they have never seen water yet. I might go tomorrow if weather's ok.
