Does braid really matter that much? I mean it's all thick, very visible in water, and have to tie it off on the dock to break the line. I just never got the argument for a "better" braid.

I see you're out in Lubbock. Probably don't have much need for it out there but around lily pads or flipping heavy cover there is no substitute for it.

Actually, its thinner than mono or Floro, and brands do make a difference. It's not ideal for all situations but perfect for others.
