First strung fish is a 23" red that hammered the topwater. I've got great water conditions, bait and light winds. Hopefully I'll get to box a few more!

Well, only one more red just under 20 on topwater. The sun popped out about 15 minutes ago so I tied on my go to Silver Mullet SS Jr. Still have easterly winds, but am finally going to start setting up for drift fishing to try and patterns fish.

I'm two drifts down with only a 13" trout and some nipping piggy perch to show for. One more drift before I need to start making some adjustments.

I was able to box a decent trout to join the red on that last drift. I've got time for two more drifts. Hopefully the showers can stay away.

I envy you. Too long since I've gotten down there to fish. Last time I went (a year after Ike) I caught some yahoos breaking into vehicles where I went to launch. Haven't been back since. Need to get back down there. Love redfish. Catching and eating.
