When I said the drought was over, I was referring to North Central Texas. Long periods of drought and then short periods of flooding are normal for DFW. It has been the same pattern for decades. The only thing that has changed is the number of people that need water. Unfortunately, the number of lakes has not. It is unfortunate that the rain has not come for you guys out west or to the south, but I don't think that West Texas lakes need to fill up before North Central Texan can declare the drought is over. Just a drop in the bucket but maybe it will help. I keeping on hoping for rain for San Angelo.
