I didn't have to take any agriculture classes, but I am pretty sure flash floods don't last for a week.

What is your deal with trying to be the new drought calculator? Yes it's better than it was and getting better daily but as of 5/5/15 there were still over 5 million Texas being affected by drought. No most of them are not from Dallas, but not far from it and not just in west tx. I get it, it rained and yalls lakes caught water, but you claiming daily "the drought is over" is getting old and honestly laughable.

No your beloved Dallas isn't listed as in a drought anymore, but a lot are.

I am seen that graph before. I am aware that there are some areas of Texas that are still in extreme drought. There are 10 different climate regions in Texas.

Wonderful, you can type in climatic regions of Texas into Google. I feel a lot more confident in your weather predictions now.

This map shows where the drought hasn't even thought about being over.

It all depends on your perspective and what your "normal" is. Texas is a huge state, and it has very distinctive climates. When I said the drought was over, I was referring to North Central Texas.

Long periods of drought and then short periods of flooding are normal for DFW. It has been the same pattern for decades. The only thing that has changed is the number of people that need water. Unfortunately, the number of lakes has not.

It is unfortunate that the rain has not come for you guys out west or to the south, but I don't think that West Texas lakes need to fill up before North Central Texan can declare the drought is over. I post all kinds of things that are not applicable to the whole state...this is no different.

We went from no usable ramps (too low) to no usable ramps (too high) - still can't fish (from boat).

South Central Texas is getting a lot if rain today! It got hit pretty good a couple of days ago as well. Just a drop in the bucket but maybe it will help.

I keeping on hoping for rain for San Angelo. I wish I could seed them the rain that is dumping more water into Denton and Hickory Creeks this morning.
