The water is crazy high. I went out today with the kayak and I'm glad I did because the lakeview park ramps were completely flooded. Thought I would try finding some crappie or LMB but ended up whacking the sandbass in 19 FOW. I think species that relate to cover are going to be really hard to find for a while. So much new shallow cover and water temps being in the low 70s is going to make them hard to find IMO. I think it's gonna make it a lot of fun.

Those fire ants are probably sick of being wet, hit them with a pear burner. Roger that, looks like a good time to torch some ants. Get out the giant magnifying glass!

Saturday Grapevine was foot low to normal, as of yesterday 7 feet high! Lake has come up 17 feet in under 30 days. I notice yesterday they just cracked the gates a little, not sure if that means anything. As of yesterday really no significant water being released.

Grapevine hit this level March of 2012. In July of 2007 lake was 20 feet over normal, so 13 feet above where it is now.

Does anyone know what level the lake needs to be for them to close the high water ramp at Katies Woods?
