even if the Dallas Water utility was pulling the full 3 billion a month at full pool that should only be about 2" in elevation. For March and April they apparently cut back for the spawn and only pulled a billion point 9 per month.

from Steve Chick:
Dallas Water Utilities pumped 1,944,900,000 gallons of water from Lake Fork Reservoir for the month of April. This is equal to 5,968.7 acre-feet of water and 64.8 million gallons per day. This was more than was pumped in either February or March, but still far less than was pumped last Fall.

So far for the year through April DWU has pumped 7,578,710,000 gallons or 23,258 acre-feet. So far for the year DWU has pumped 17.8% of the total they are entitled to pump for 2015.

Lake Fork is now nearly full, so it is now 27,524 surface acres. For the month of April the rain gauge at the SRA recorded 7.3 inches of rain. For the year they have received 23.02 inches.

With the lake being nearly full a couple questions have come up about the potential for flooding. The SRA will allow the lake to reach 0.5 foot over full pool or 403.5 before opening the gates. This is a hedge against evaporation that will soon start to take its toll on the lake. They strive to not let the lake get over elevation 405, but they do have 16 feet of freeboard above full pool before water would go out the emergency spillway.

Some of you are just like women. Cant be satisfied. Stand on the porch and pea in the yard and that don't satisfy you and then stand in the yard and pea on the porch and you are still not satisfied.

Waahh, the water is so low. It's never going to rain again & they're stealing our water.

Waahh, the waters too high and I can't catch/ find fish.

Waahh, it'll be gone by summer and never rain again.
