Not sure if anyone has seen this but i saw a post on facebook about a guy who won a triton at the McDonald's Tournament and then gave it away to a guy who fished all 3 days off the dock. Pretty awesome if this is the case

If that's true...Great deed for sure. The Lord has a way of making us bless others.

A guy like that should be recognized. Not something you see everyday

We saw the guy that was given the boat both on Saturday and Sunday. He was standing up on the edge of the dock at Umphrey's and casting and fishing just like he was on a boat. He was legitimately fishing! On Sunday, he did have a chair behind him that he could sit in, but he was still standing and casting. What a trooper to pay to stand on the dock and fish for 3 straight days!
After 3 long days on Rayburn with a few aggravating moments when idiots would run by on plane within 40-50 yards, it is sure nice to lay down on Sunday night and read about this story. It indeed shows there are still a few good people in this world!

I saw it when it happened at the weigh in show. The eleimination boat give away with only two men left on stage. Bob Sealy ask them where they fished and the one said" Off the dock down there" the other said "In a boat" Bob asked the man with the boat if he would offer the other two thousand dollars to step down and he replied " I want him to have the boat". Lots of cheers from the crowd and a standing ovation, then Bob revealed the name that was drawn and would have to step down and it was the man who was fishing off the dock, so the man who had a boat would have won it. That was a very special thing to do and it really touched my heart to see such an unselfish act of generosity towards a fellow fisherman who had fished off the dock for three days and surely had hundreds of boats drive by within casting range and he stuck with it. Best thing I ever saw at a weigh in by far.

I hope the guy on the dock can afford to pay the sales tax.

I had a customer today who fished the tournament and he told me the story. He also said the Tourn. Organizer/Director gave the gentlemen who gave the boat away free entry fees to all his future tournament's.
Two 1st class gestures!
