Humminbird for me. Not only do they have great service, always have had, but their units don't break very often. I have 2 old 997 that have been on 4 boats and have never faltered. I did have a temp sensor on a transducer go bad and Humminbird sent me one the day I called with a prepaid shipping label to send the old one back.
I have new ones on my big boat now and they are great.

You need to see how their mapping is for our area since you can only use Garmins maps in a Garmin unit. Last time I looked, they didn't have much for our region.

Here's a few pics from Canyon, nothing special but it's something to look at.

This ones kinda cool, old rock wall.

This one is of that water intake thing.

This is a old bridge at Choke Canyon.

+1 on Garmin.

I love my touchscreen unit so far. User friendly and still works in and after a good rain. I am not sure why these units are not more popular hmmm

I've got one of each on my boat and prefer the better picture quality of Lowrance to the user-friendliness of the HB. But they're both good units.

I am about to go back to Lowrance! Ready to turn my Hummingbirds into a brush pile! I have owned 5 new boats in the last 4 yrs. I have had interference with them all on the front of the boat when I use my trolling motor. I have already had my newest boat in twice trying to solve the problem just like the other boats I have had. The last thing we tried Hummingbird told me they have no other solutions to fix it. Everytime I hit the button on trolling motor it reads 12 ft deep regardless of how deep it is. I am so frustrated right now! If we can't find a solution I will be requesting my dealer change my electronics on my boat to Lowrance. I used to have Lowrance and switched 5 yrs ago and looks like I will be going back to Lowrance soon.

Garmin has the best bang for the buck imo, I recently purchased a 93sv and 73dv and I couldn't get close to the options on another brand for what I spent without going to smaller units.

Yes sir, those are from a 12T with the LSS2 plugged directly into it.

For the record, I don't care what brand anybody buys because I am only sponsored by my wallet; but I get so sick of guys saying "buy this, it's the best" and they have nothing to show why it's so great.

The pic David posted from the Onix is cool, I wonder if that's a old deer blind or what?

Are you wired in up front or do you have a wire that runs all the way to the battery ?

Love the HDS Gen 2 touches! Much faster navigation.

The gen3 are almost instant, very fast; but the price tag is going up fast too! Too dang expensive for a toy.
