Here is what I received from the TRWD today regarding Twin Points:
Our reservoir manager tells me that if the lake reaches 641.00 -642.00 with a positive outlook we would reconnect the courtesy dock and open the ramp. There is a substantial cost associated with repositioning the dock so we want to make sure we are on a definite upward swing prior to making the move.

I was told they dug out the sandbar on the ramp with a gradall and the next day the sandbar was already built back up. The ramp extends far enough, it's just got some current or waves washing sand and depositing it on the ramp that is too high for most trucks to pull a boat out. There is also another sandbar behind the one on the ramp that will hang up a boat just after it clears the end of the trailer. That one is the reason they are waiting for the water level to come up before opening the ramp to the public. They keep trying with a pontoon boat to see if the lake is up enough to launch it. If so almost any boat can launch. They are also talking about extending the courtesy dock to help break the waves depositing the sand on the ramp.

En591 I hope that is the case because we are below either one of those figures. 640.54 this morning. Rain predicted next few days. I am getting on the lake but a lot of people are not. Johnny

Why don't they build a tire barier around the ramp to break up the waves? I have 4 old tires I would donate. Oilfield has plenty of old drilling line they would probably donate. Oh wait a minute, that is common sense and we are talking about political things. LOL
