Ive had quite a few folks interested in how I painted the ultra minnow heads I posted the other day... so I did a little video on youtube... This is my first attempt at this... and I hope it works out. The video quality may not be the best, but hopefully you guys get the gist of it. Let me know what you guys think... HONESTLY!! Good job Capt'n! All I can say is you make it look EASY!! Only thing though, If I was to point a heat gun at my vise all I'd see would be a cloud of feather tip's, V's & fluff flyin all around my office! I'm gonna try it though with my alcohol burner & using the "Rotating" function of my Peak.

It's an old cheapo vise that I use... I keep my 2 good ones at home!!lol

Thank you, Jerry! That was nice of you to share how you paint those. One quick question. I've never used powder paint, so bear with me for asking silly questions. The excess paint I saw falling, can you catch that and reuse?

You can put something down to catch the excess paint that falls down... It looks like a lot that falls down... But it's really not. The first dab I put on the top... I didn't have the jig quite hot enough... So I had to add a little extra.

The key... At least I think... Is to use the translucent base coat... It makes all the difference in the world... Gives the paint job that 3-D look.
