Nothing wrong with the other two manufacturers, I just wanted a four stroke and the reviews were excellent on the SHO. There's a very small difference between the three of them.
I did want to ask since I am new to all of this, what's the deal with Suzuki?
I always heard its a good engine but you sure don't see many of them around. I heard parts were hard to get.

^^^ Hard to put a Evinrude on a Skeeter. Torque makes a huge difference from 3500rpm to 5000rpm burst in big waves or running boat lanes. Suzuki killed their self in 2008-2009 when they mad a mass marketing campaign and the recession hit. They are good motors also.

Seems like evinrude motors have more issues than mercury or yamaha. Literally the opposite of my personal experience. seen 3 merks blow up one yami one johnson that was just always HARD to start in the mornings but ran good if you got her to go my rudes run strong. that said, if i couldn't have a one I would take a SHO, i wont have a merk

i'm a yamaha guy myself. i've heard good things about the mercs. only thing that bothers me is they idle so loud. my last evinrude was in the 80's and it was a work horse
