Lol, of course today was good. I had to spend some time at home today. But, I did make it out to Cabela's to pick up 7 different colors of Rooster tails, a battery operated air pump for my minnow bucket, and a couple other goodies. Epoxied the little pump to my minnow bucket instead of using the clip thing it came with.

Doug, camo hat with velcro patches, ugly stik gear bag.

I caught over 20 fish this evening before it got dark. Maybe a few were 10", but none was a keeper.

Was using a chartreuse and white marabou jig. Little fish love it, I guess. Seems like most catching anything of size are using minnows.

Yeah, it's still a little murky. Not that it really ever gets that clear south of miller anyway. I'd say visibility is about 6". I can see them take my lure if it's pretty close.

Didn't see any cast netters while I was out there.

There was a guy at NT12 around 4:00 pm today, I saw him throw the cast net once but couldnt see what he got, he was saying something to his buddy in Spanish, all I could make out was sand bass. I stared him down for a minute waiting to see him throw it again with my finger on the send button but they took off just as fast as they showed up. I'll be watching tomorrow. Also I just wanted to bring up, yesterday while working an area between NT10 and NT11 I found a turtle that had been hooked and then tied to a tree limb and left to starve to death....Be on the lookout for despicable behavior like this. I've never seen such a lack of respect for nature as I have on the creek these past few weeks. Just sayin....... Ok my rant is done, the morning was ok with some big females and a few hybrids, that I lost.... I hooked into something that just woundn't turn for me, peeled off a ton of line and when I tried to force him to turn the hook pulled! Well I guess it's another fish that got away tale!

BTW I cut the turtle free, he'll live to annoy another bait fisherman in the near future!

15 inch Sandies from last Tuesday crappie two weeks ago, caught some more 12-15 inch whites Saturday and one 19 inch hybrid! see pic in red shirt. RC has been good to me! A lot more where those came from

Nice work! What were you catching them on? I was catching the larger fish earlier in the season, and now I'm only getting dinks.

Thanks. #3 blue fox and that jig are way bigger than I've been using. Maybe I need to upsize to attract the larger fish and to make the dinks leave me alone.

Yeah when I went big started catching big. I was pulling big numbers of under size fish on small jigs and spinners it was fun but fat man gotta eat.
