Big gills are great bait for stripers, but what a waste. I am going to get a 30' rod so I can fish 47' off the bottom. I figure I will just set the rod in a holder sticking straight up and get the net for flying fish. That is legal correct?

Oh yeah it's legal, once those males get airborne to grab the jig, they tend to set the hook on their way down, just net them up. Some males even carry a black stick on their nose, must be a circus act or something. Banger your taking notes, on all these HOT TIPS!
