This is a wild video of not only catching two big bass at once but my reel came detached from my rod after the hookset. I am lucky I was able to land them and I'm glad I had the GoPro running to capture it!

Nice! I've only doubled on the a-rig once but they were two good ones. I've also had my reel pop off the rod once on a hook set and I had to wench her in the same way you did. Turned out to be a 6 pounder lol. I bet that extra time it took to get your reel under control gave the second fish a chance to latch on

I never thought much to how bass behave around each other until I bought a 55 gal aquarium and stocked it with a dozen 3" fingerlings from Overton Fish Farm (Camelot Bell Strain). I usually feed them sun dried shrimp from the pet store and often one will fill its mouth with several shrimp only to have one of its buddies hammer it in the mouth trying to free up a few that might be hanging outside its mouth. I can easily see how we sometimes get multiple fish on a cast. It has been fun to watch. Amazing how these two hogs made it to the boat!
