We are in the final stretch of the 28th Bass Cat Owners Invitational this week at Sam Rayburn, Umphrey's Pavilion. Registration is April 1st at Rayburn Country Club House and April 2nd is day one.

Overall payout and giveaway is estimated at least a 250% payback on entry and usally much higher.

There is a Social an hour after weigh in Day One at Umphrey's and we look forward to this.

Day Two we draw for the Paddles from Flights after weigh in and we give away a gorgeous Margay to the lucky team. Big Bass pays 40% of monies collected and the ratio for 2nd and 3rd is 30% and 20% each, 10% will be used for local charity.

The Winning Team will receive a new Bass Cat Puma FTD with a 250 Pro XS engine, second place tema is another Margay and trailer. We have prizes or cahs Extending 20 to 25 places in the field or further.

We use 25 Rubber Ducks per day for prizes. There will be one Rubber Duck on day two that will be eligible for a Mercury engine. Others behind that are eligible for a HumminBird 999 SI, MotorGuide Trolling Motor, Undercover Truck bed cover and more.

Wild Card: 25 positions will be eligible for cash prizes ranging from placing with the smallest stronger each day, to the largest stripper, bream and more. For example 247th place has been $753 in past years. Everyone looks forward to the Wild Cards. Posting of Wild Card placement is Friday morning after the field is locked Wednesday.

We look forward to a great event and we wish all Bass Cat owners could be there! It looks like SE winds at 10 mph and 80 plus degrees, with an April moon. It's gonna be fun!

One week from today we start the 28th Bass Cat Owners Invitational on Sam Rayburn Reservoir. We hope to have a large crowd at Sam Rayburn and we are looking forward to the event with tremendous enthusiasm.

Next Wednesday is registration at the Rayburn Country clubhouse.

Thursday and Friday are event days and the Social is at Umphrey's pavilion after Thursday's weigh in. We will have time to visit and talk at the Social that evening.

We hope to have a great crowd and our anticipation is for around 350 boats. Anything between there and the 2013 event is good, and more will be a bonus.

We have wanted to bring this Owners Appreciation event to you again in Texas. We will bring it back to Mountain Home next year for the first time on Bull Shoals.

Timing is perfect for a great tournament.

Water's high (5 1/2 foot). Was out pre-fishing today. Some small fish and one 22 1/2 inch 6.2 pounder. Wind was real bad. Hope it settles down this week.
