As far as oil goes in a 2stroke it needs to be ash free burning (Tcw3) the synthetics sound nice and cool but tcw3 oil is fine. All of my 2 stroke motors have ran citgo tcw3 oil and have held up fine. 14$ a gallon is also a bonus. Majority engine failures are a result of a piston being starved of fuel or starved of oil. Engines with low rpm hours are affected more because the oiling is leaned down at lower rpms. 2 strokes operate best at high rpms 4k plus. This is also true about the new 4strokes. They like 4k plus rpms to keep deposits blown out. And oiling increased. My 2cents
