Tried it and hate it. Too many wind knots. I'm pulling it off the two reels and replacing it with Suffix.

I know people love it but it does not work for me.

I use this setup for bass angling. The rod is a Powell Diesel 6102M Ex.Fast 6'10" with a Diawa Legalis 2500SH reel. I put 20 lb. Hi-vis braid on it and use a fluoro leader. It's a great setup for light baits..senkos, wacky worms, split-shot stuff. Had to switch to the Legalis from a smaller reel. The small diameter spools don't play well with braid (windknots). Since changing to the larger size spools I haven't had problems with light lures and windknots. 2cents

Good info on the spool size. I had wondered if that might make a difference.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

I use modern braided super lines on all my fixed spool reels from 6# fire line on 1000 series Stradics to 50# PowerPro on 10000 series surf reels. I'll likely never go back to a monofilament mainline on these reels for several reasons: braid has essentially no memory, it is much less affected by line twist inherent in using a fixed spool (spinning) reel, low stretch increases sensitivity, and in comparable tensile strength, it is much thinner and casts much farther than mono. The real disadvantages are knots, which will slip if the correct ones are not chosen or tied correctly, pound for pound it is less abrasion resistant than mono, it is expensive, and has less impact or shock resistance. Because of the disadvantages, using a mono/ fluoro leader helps a bunch. I have not found a braid to mono knot that I have confidence in, so I typically use an appropriate size Spro power swivel and a leader short enough that I don't have to reel it into the guides to cast.
Hope this helps.

Throw it on a 6'6" to 7'spinning rod and a Shimano reel. Works great.

I wouldn't go over 30 lb on the braid unless you have a large spool spinning reel.

This ^ is the hot set-up. I have used this for several years now with out any issues what so ever. Alberto's knot for leader https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J56O3CZVu7M
