Why in the hell would you cut someone's jugs lines on purpose? That's illegal in itself lol. Whether you use a boat prop or a knife and do it on purpose it's illegal. If the jug is legal and catching/keeping a legal fish then by all aspects of the sport provided theres nothing wrong. I respect catch and release and after a bag or 2 of fillets I always catch and release, even if I catch them on jugs or trot line. And have never kept anything over 10lbs. But I certaintly don't take it upon my self to be some kind of fish/lake king and decide whether ppl get to keep their property. Call a game warden or something. Ditto!!! Agreed. Also; stupid why to perhaps tear-up something on your lower unit.

It's pretty sorry to destroy somebody's property. I jug as well, but only use circles. I also put the bigger fish back. Seems like every time I go to twok I see some body hauling at least one trophy home.

That's funny with the pictures of those kids because by the time they are old enough to learn about and have someone responsible teach them about catch and release and being smart about the future TWAK won't have a catfish left in it. When I was young I was taught about taking only what you need and leaving the rest. I guess all that has gone by the wayside these days. What were these kids taught?? Countless years worth of trophy fishing you just destroyed.

Ya know, the kids that catch big fish on my boat have just as big a smile. Then when they let them go they get another one!!! Then when they come back and catch it again possibly, they will smile even more!!!!

i don't fish for catfish but i enjoy watching this forum. Tawakoni has a lot of catfish and big fish for what i have read.
i just think catfish are kind of ugly and those big trophy catfish are even uglier. They are OLD and i don't know if that meat is good. smaller catfish perhaps taste better i think. maybe there are some Catfish Meat Horders in texas lol
i guess is fun and challenging to catch those monsters and it will be best for the lake to do a catch and release policy or at least put a slot fish policy.

Just pushes my buttons pretty bad when they are being smart asses on here and keep posting pic's of them taking so many trophy fish from a body of water. Tawakoni will get worse and worse tell its like their home lakes and then they will move to the next one and do it the same way.

Glad to see kids fishing , sad they are taught to take em all.....just because you can!!! Not impressed with trophy jugging. Maybe one day one of those cats would have been a new lake record. To each his own , but I'm all for new regulations. And no I'm not against running jugs for some good eaters.

Just hang in there CATDADDY... this is obviously something a little deeper than just a guy pulling out and killing mass amounts of Trophy fish at Lake Tawakoni because his home lake is fished out... Don't let it get you tangled... Just stay alive and keep smilin man. No worries bro.

Has it ever occurred to anyone that this forum will be the death of twok? I'm from west tx where fishing spots are few and far between so nobody shares. Skim through a week of threads here every other thread is about twok. Where to unload, where the fish are, and how to catch them. Just Google huge tx catfish and tell me what lake pops up. I've drove from west twice to fish twok...... and wouldn't even know the name of the lake or that it is full of big fish if it wasn't for this forum.
We catch some huge fish out here in west tx and very very few people know where because it'll never be posted on the internet.

Catdaddy jr, Theres no need for u to CUSS me or call me names. If pics of fish offend u, DONT LOOK AT MY POSTS. Ive been fishing this lake now going on 10+ years. The fishing has not declined, its seems to be better. And by the way, my home lake is not fished out, caught sewveral 30+ lb fish on rod and real last week and RELEASED them.
