I use jewelry jump rings. You can get them in stainless steel, you just open them put the blade and the swivel on and close them again, and since they're only holding the end blade on, you don't need split rings ! Give it a try. Works for me.

If you want you living rubber skirts use a duller pair of scissors the blade edge is more rounded so every single strand will cut through separately when you pull it tight to separate. With a sharp edge pair of scissors when you pull the rubber tight and you cut you'll cut through to fast leaving 2 3 or 4 strands together when trimming you skirts. A little trick use upholstery thread in 135 m to tie you skirts in place.

For jig and spinnerbait skirts I no longer use thread or rings. Zip ties get it done and the fish are none the wiser. wink

Looks like fuzzy dice. Been using this stuff as compound bow string silencers for decades, who knew fish would bite it hammer

Ive been making both styles of these jigs going on 40 years now when living square rubber was still around and now the round rubber. Like doing them in silicone also.

Very Very Nice !!!

Will have to tie some up - though I'm lazy and use thin zip ties even for spinnerbaits.
I can remember using living rubber for the first time. It only came in solid colors.
Is it much different in quality or texture than silicone?
