Do you wish you would have gone with 10? I may have an opportunity to buy a used set and am curios if you wish you would have gone with 10's? Thanks

I think the 8's are good enough for me, I don't think I would want the 10's.

I have 2 eights. I rarely run into situations where the 8' poles don't work for me. Just remember that what ever length you decide on, the distance they stick up gets higher as the depth gets deeper and they don't fold down onto the deck. JMO

For the price difference no. For convenience sake yes. I seem to always want to anchor in 8ft of water.
Thats 8ft from the bottom of the boat. The poles are about 6-12 inches higher than that.

Guess I'm different. Happy with 8s but man I want some 10s. I've had numerous times that I wish the 8s would have touched bottom.
I can backlash toilet paper.

Keep in mind, 8' poles are only good in about 6' depth based on the reading of your sonar (assuming your transducer is on your TM). The poles are going to sit up about 6" above the water line. The transducer, depending on how deep you how your trolling motor is set, is going to be about 12" below the surface. So when you're reading 5' on graph, it's really 6'. Take away the 6" they are above the water plus you need about 4-6" sticking in the mud....
