Starting to see hybrids show up. The ones I've seen have been on the smaller side (just under 18"), so make sure you check those tooth patches if you aren't sure if it's a white or a hybrid.

What the heck I went out to Olathe purgatory hole for about 45 minutes using minnows and the normal tricks that work well for sandbass but didn't catch any! Are y'all talking about south of miller or what?

Some people don't know the difference. Was out there today saw 2 individuals kept undersize hybrid told them that was a hybrid they fuss about it and told me it wasn't I clearly know a hybrid when I see it color and had lots of broken lines and it was larger than the whites they had, which were pretty bigg too was gonna tell them about the tooth but 3/1 and touching another man catch I let them continue with their business I wouldn't mind he if wanted to start something but I had my gear and there not cheap.

I'm having better luck on spinners right now. Wish they were't so dang expensive since I keep losing them. Dragging and bouncing jigs with soft plastics off the bottom is also effective.

The current has been strong, so heavier jig heads than you are used to using may be needed to get depth.

I would except I'm wore out from fishing (and walking around in the mud) yesterday.

Some of you guys asking about spots should take him up on this. It's more than just about the location. There are good spots all over the creek, but someone who knows the creek well will know where they are likely to be. Even if you don't this time, just keep going out there, learn the creek, and actually talk to people out there. Put some miles on your mud boots and make some creek friends. I've not met anyone at the creek who wasn't happy to share what they were having success with. Even if they barely speak English. Conditions change, and therefore the tactics and baits change.
