That's a big one. For some reason I've caught a bunch of crappie while bass fishing lake worth. They love baby brush hogs

Thought I had hooked a 3 lb bass when I first saw it in the water. But I caught a glimpse of the side stripes and I said no way thats a crappie! I had never seen one that big in person before, the mouth was huge. I caught it on a berkley chigger craw 3/0 worm hook. Don't let anyone tell you they won't eat anything that big. I caught a 14" crappie last year on 4" yum dinger but that crappie wasn't anywhere close to the size of this one.

Beautiful crappie! It's always exciting to have an unexpected catch like that. I had that happen before with a monster bluegill.
