Need help with these images. One is the native insight from Lowrance, the other is from Navionics Platinum. I'm curious how to show the river/creeks running through the lake. In this case, Lake Palestine, you can see the river color coded in deep blue in the insight screen, but just a couple of thin lines in the navionics chip. Any idea on how to change that? Also, what is Fish'N chip? I've searched, but couldn't find anything. Anyone?

If thats possible it would be a new one on me but you can view the two maps and sonar at the same time on your unit. Also there is new software available for your unit that you will like.

I updated my touch software to ver. 4.0 and now my side scan is only down and spotlight. Have they moved the option for side scan? I can switch between down and spotlight, no sidescan. I don't even own a spotlight sonar.

I just installed a HDS7 Touch and LSS2 on the back of my bass buggy. Here are some photos of transducer placement: Here are a couple of images. What are the horizontal lines between 5 and 10 feet on the downscan image? What are the vertical lines on the side scan image? The three columns on the left side of the sidescan image are bridge pilings. Any recommendations for settings? Thanks in advance.

Monty, do you have a motor on that thing? Give us a whole rear view of the boat. Drop the LSS ducer a few inches lower than the skimmer, or move the skimmer up a few inches.

I moved the SI transducer down about an inch (now it is about two inches below the skimmer). I'll test it Thursday. Here are a couple of photos. On line I found a page that states the front/back cone angle as 3.2 degrees which means the angle from the center to the front is 1.6 degrees. The right pontoon is at an angle of 7.4 degrees, so it shouldn't be in the cone. I didn't find any information on the lateral cone angle.

I think your motors lower unit is giving you the issues, maybe not all of it but a big part of it. Dropping the LSS should help as well. I assume you have a trolling motor, if you do, try to trim/tilt your gas motor up as far as possible and see if you get those water column lines cleared up.

Grout-scout Here is a shot from yesterday. I lowered the SI transducer about an inch and increased the frequency to 800 kHz. It is somewhat better. Raising the motor really didn't change anything. I must be seeing the right pontoon. I think I can live with it as the structure on the bottom looks good.

Monty, that looks horrible. Maybe restore the defaults and start over, something is very much wrong on your system. Also why are running the overlay on the sonar? Works better with it on 200, turn that overlay feature off.

I have the HDS touch 9 unit. In the first picture I'm wondering why I might be getting all of these lines on the sonar? Compared to the second one which was taken a few minutes later, the lines disappear when fish pop up. Any suggestions would be great.

Lonestar, chage your freq on sonar to 200, and SS to 800, you'll get better pictures. Next, make sure you select "shallow water" and turn surface clarity to "low" or off.
Make those changes and I'll bet things get better.
