If your just fun fishing, I would stay on the lousiana side, boatlanes are much better than the texas side. Everybody will be throwing a red lipless, and honestly, you should do the same. If you find the fish in certain sections of the grass then a senko, or a t-rig will be beneficial, but I would throw that trap until I found em

Toledo is at 170 now with normal being around 172. I think it's -1.91 today. The Sabine is flowing well with more water in the watershed today. I will arrive on the 12th and it may only be 1.5 feet low by then.

Its staying pretty constant. Its about where it was at this point last year which leaves huge amounts of shoreline cover for this years class of fish to survive.

Well, shoot. Looks like were going to miss you by about a month. Going end of April.
Good luck shipmate. Let us know how it turns out. This is coming into what I'm told, 'prime time fishing' on TB!!!
God Bless

I'll be heading down there April 1st-5th. I cant wait. With this cold weather I think we will be getting some sight fishing in if the lake levels stay the same.

I'm hoping for good luck! I always need that. The weather next week looks promising for a warm up. Hopefully it continues.

How's the fishing on Toledo been? It looks like it has gotten a lot of rain. Is there a fishing pattern I should focus on with the elevated lake levels? I'm heading out Tuesday and I think I am going to stop at Bass Pro to buy a bunch of stuff I probably don't need 😁. Any advice is appreciated.
