Even if they do feel pain, flopping them on the carpeted (and usually padded) deck is not a big deal. Windshield, console, and motor is a different story. People will do what they need to, to make a living.

Yes. I guess it's just the two of us. I understand why they do it, but it still bothers me.

What bothers me is all the flopping around they do when filleting them. There must be a more humane way to carve into a live fish.

It doesnt bother me if they just boat flip them, but it bugs me when I see the FLW guys step on the fish to stop them from flopping or take one out of the livewell and throw it on the carpet so they can cull. Just be reasonable and respectful. And I do see it more on FLW than on BASS.

The filets are not bothered one little bit by the kind of treatment.
They still fry up just fine.
