I don't care about them getting them to the boat or even swinging them in, it's when they smack them into the consoles that bugs me.

Not in the least. Does jamming a sharp metal hook in their face bother you?

Don't fish with any shallow water flipper then lol. My normal partner and myself both have killed 14-16" fish on hooksets once the rod loads and send the fish into the console, power poles, motor whatever it hits. Has happened more than once.

It don't bother me at all, what bother's me is how they think they have to gently lower the bass into the water after all that, just throw the fish in there it's water.

The only negative I see, is when the fish flops around and their protective slime gets rubbed off.....having said that....I don't recall any studies showing it actually "hurts" the bass.........anyone????

And raising the rod as high in the air as they can at the same time. Should have given that reel another spin or two, might not have to stretch so far.

You can kill a fly with a sledgehammer,
But do you really need to son???

I think some anglers playing for TV..Laying down on the front deck is a recipee..If you can use a net..Duet.. Swinging a fish is somewhat dicey, but we have all done it..Prefer to take fish to the middle of boat..How many of you grab tge line? Thats a goofy one as well..

I leave live wells open all the time and boat flip fish straight from water into the live well then I take them off. That way they don't get hurt
