I haven't reinstalled in my new boat. LED Light has hampered that. I used for immediate retrieval Easy View Tackle System. Then my extra go in 1 gallon zippered Ziploc bags. Like baits in the same bag. I like the Hefty brand in the freezer model. They hold up best.

I like using the Plano style boxes. I have many brands and styles. Mark them with a permanent marker. I have so many they don't all fit in the boat. I never thought of them losing their scent. I'll have to check. I'm pretty sure Berkley power worms are impregnated so that shouldn't be the case for them. I do keep my tackle out of the sun. Never had any issues like that.

Plano speed bags. I like to keep plastics in their original containers for identification and smells. I also think they last longer in a zip lock. I prefer these bags over plastic because they flexible and can be tossed around.

Here is how I spent my time recovering from elbow surgery. The plastics I use frequently are on the easy view tackle system and the rest are in Rubbermaid shoe boxes in the starboard rod locker and are all labeled; trick worms, creatures, flukes, etc.

I'm pretty sick when it comes to plastics. I carry too many shapes and sizes and colors. + I carry large amounts of some so I don't run out during the day or have to reload several times a week. What I've been doing is making three 1 quart "variety" bags, black, natural and white, where I put one or two of each lures to select from on the fly when I begin fishing. The remainder of my lures are placed by type and color in smaller plastic bags or original lure packages in a larger plastic bag. So I've got a bag of Baby Brush Hogs of different colors, a bag of tubes, etc. I place these in a Walmart or some other cloth shopping bag with a laminated list of what lures are contained. At the end of the season I find I am carrying three shopping bags of plastics with attached labels of the contents. These are jammed into my front storage compartments and serve to hold my Plano boxes of hard baits tightly while I m running. If I end up fishing tubes, Baby Brush Hogs, and Sencos through the day I just pull these three bags out of the shopping bags and lay them out separately. I've tried putting plastics in Plano boxes, but I just run out of room. So this is what I do, and its not as messy or complicated as it sounds.

Very nice, I like it.

What is that rail system in the port side rod box that is holding the spinnerbaits?

Cooks tackle system. Can order from Tackle Warehouse. I never could find a spinner bait box I liked so now I just hang them in the rail. It works awesome.

Well, it's a new year so I guess it's time to invent a new system.

I'm still wondering why I feel the need to carry 2000 or so soft plastics when I'm only going to use a few of them on each trip.

This thread has inspired me. I went ahead and organized my tackle today and put everything into see-through storage boxes and organized my Plano boxes. Good stuff.

Plastic Tubs. I've used the Plano trays, but it takes too many to organize specific baits and I spend too much time digging through trays looking for what I need. Terminal tackle I'll use the trays though.
