i see several comments about the schooling most likely to be sandies. i would most certainly being looking these areas over for nearby bass. here on table rock, the big blacks will follow along with the white bass. the whites herd the shad better and the blacks simply take advantage of the easy eating.

one other thing to keep in mind is that the shad that end up on the bottom draws in crawdads, and those areas that have had all the schooling activity can be a jig fishing bonanza because the big bass will move in to feast on the crawdads that are gathered feeding on the shad remains.

understanding the food chain can really help in locating bass.

one of my best fishing days on fork was catching bass that were following your sandies around.

I had a buddy tell me a story of 8-10# schooling in February on Fork years ago. They caught them on Pop-R's. Crazy!
