Hey guys, I wanted to let you know about the 'new' Bonehead braid. I got a spool of 12# last week and fished it last weekend at Tawakoni. It generally takes a lot to impress me on just about anything, but I really like this line. It lays good on the spool, comes off the spool even better and didn't bind up after pulling jigs off of brushpile hangups. And notice I said 'pull the jig off'. I did not break off once in our tournament. I had my jigs tied directly to the braid (no leader) and the crappie didn't mind at all (we took first place in D2). So if you're looking for a braid that I'd recommend, call Bonehead

That's all I use.
To have said that statement after using it in that wind says a lot.
Congrats again to you and David. Let's go do some local fishing before Livingston.

I was just on the bonehead site prior to seeing this to check out the Bonehead braid. Link on the site didn't work to see what is available. How do you buy this?

That braid is some of THE BEST equipment that you can use for crappie. Thin, easy to tie, and you feel the thump times 1000.

Started using Bonehead braid last season and really like it. What's the difference in last years and the new braid.

Started using Bonehead braid last season and really like it. What's the difference in last years and the new braid. Last years braid was made with four strands of the material braided into one line. The new Bonehead braid is "six" strands braided into one line. Additionally it appears that the finished product is smaller in diameter than the older version and the finish is smoother. Overall, a great line. Josh has it in orange, yellow and white. I personally am using the yellow in 12# test.

BoneHead braid is the only line you'll find on my reels. Absolutely love it. No leader here. I tie directly to the jig.

I would rather die finding out there was no God than die finding out there is.
