I used to run little Caney all the way back to hideaway and a little past years ago when the lake was full, I have a really good trail at full pool. But when the lake drops to 3 feet or more I don't run past the pipeline cut. That part of the lake is full of timber and as Rube G. said the run was some type of fire road, I was shown the path in th late 80's when the timber was still standing. It was the equivalent of maybe a residential street wide and not very straight of a run.

I was out with Andrew a couple weeks ago and we were talking about that run and witnessed a guy making it, we just cringed and waited to hear the BOOM, but fortunately for him I think he made it.

Fork makes me a little nervous at the current level, to say the least...

I would VERY HIGHLY recommend shutting down and idling from just south of the single standing tree on the left as you're going into Little Caney. There are a TON of big standing trees from there until you get close to Quail Hollow. I've got several of them marked, but I have bumped a few more at idle speed since the lake got 7' low and lower. It's an absolute mine field past that first tall tree. I'm afraid someone is going to get seriously injured running through there this spring.

I think that small round orange ball is attatched to it as your coming in about 1/3 way to the bridge.

I am not talking about that one. There is an unmarked one that I just saw on Friday.

It's the hairiest creek on the lake. 4 weeks ago I bump one about 1000 ft past Hideaway getting off plane. I had the nose down and Bamm.

The shallow water ramp is open at Hideaway. It's 5 dollars.

Think this stump was included in the hazards list. But is it visible? I might give SRA a call to see if it can be buoyed.

Hit one in there once, I no longer run that, I take the extra 15 minutes its worth not having my boat in the shop for months

Even at 403.00 the "Pucker Factor" was about a 6.75 for me going into and out of Lil Caney
At the current levels, its about a 9.0 now, and I'll venture to say its probably one of the most
dangerous coves on the lake. Its sad but that whole lake scares me now

last time i was by there it was just below surface, that has been a while though. i know back in 2011 or whenever the lake was almost 8ft low it was just above the surface then by about 6 inches or so

There's even some in the mouth of LC. I've rolled over a few at idle speed. Be careful!!

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

Hit a stump on a fast idle (breaking in my new powerhead & lower unit) coming out of Little Mustang Saturday. It was within 25' of the last bouy @ the east end of the island (approx. 10' to the south of bouy). Bent my prop up pretty bad & will need repairing. I would recommend staying on the north side of the lane. My boat was drafting deep since it was not on pad, but if the lake drops a little more...
This is starting to get into my beer money!!
