Thanks Andrew for the reply. It has been a rough winter this year. The bite as been hard to figure out due to the rapid weather changes we have been having this year. Sometimes we find em and other times we don't. That is why it's called fishing. Side Note: The trophy Redear have been totally off the radar screen. I have only caught one this year. Compared to past years I would have caught a bunch!

You are 100 percent right on the money. This winter has been tough on the fishing patterns. Looks like some warmer weather and some rain will start the week.

Gills and Sunfish! As you would say Chuck. "It just don't get any better"! Good fishing guys. Those look like they would fry up nice.
Side Note: How soon will be spawn be. I know the Crappie Spawn is very close. How about the Gills. Find any eggs in the ones you cleaned?

Thanks "Gitter" for the reply. Crappie,Gills, and Sunnies are hard to beat! As for the Crappie spawn it could be starting. Crappie have moved out of deep water and into shallower depths. As for the sunnies I think early April or the first full moon in April will be their first spawn. Just my two cents.

The three best fish on the river for sure! Nice ones guys. Side Note: Chuck how would you rate the bite of the three this past winter and what is your prediction of the upcoming bite on the three from April through next fall? Thanks.

Thanks Curtis for the reply. Yes Sir they are the three best fish in the river for sure. I would rate the bites as followed. Past Winter: Crappie Bite: Excellent.Bluegill Bite: Fair. Redear Bite: Poor(Did not find the big ones). Predictions: Crappie Bite: Good. Bluegill Bite: Excellent. Redear Bite: Good. Over all bite should be SUPER!

Looking at the postings in the Crappie section the south Texas Crappie spawn is on! How long will it last?
