Fish strong my west coast brother.... I can't say I've been through that but one of my closest friends went through that. He lost his mom and dad within a year at 26 years old. Mike and Rene Green were legends around Lake Dallas / Lewisville lake.

I was prefishing on Richland Chambers and got the call about my friends dad, was a surprise to everyone. I was having one of the best trips on Chambers I have ever had. I did not get off the lake, he would have wanted me to keep fishing, so I get that....

Thats really harsh and not at all appropriate. Everyone handles life's issues differently and the way in which your daughter handles her grandfathers death is not at all related to how someone else handles the death of their father. Would have been much more appropriate and honorable to just say something like "condolences to Aaron and his family" and let it go.

There is no connection to how he deals with his grief in this situation and how much salt he has.

Absolutely. Dang that was one really jaded response. Sorry you and your family are going through a loss but what you posted was wrong. I deal with death every day and every family handles it differently.

Just can't seem to get over this part of your comment. I hope that your job does not require any compassion or empathy. Also please remember that you are comparing your daughters high school basketball game to a grown man's career

Aarons a good dude. Rode with him on Conroe and he is the favorite guy I have rode with the 6 years I have been judging in the TTBC. My heart goes out for him and his family. Hard to lose a parent.

Dang--- That's tough..
Not in the same league----I buried my father the day before leaving to fish a championship tournament a few years back...Sure makes it hard to concentrate on the task at hand.

If I ain't fishing, I ain't happy.
But mostly I'm happy.
I love being retired, the check is in the mail.
