Very nice Chuck!
I believe you've told me before, but refresh my memory.... what is your "bottom technique"? I tend to use the drop shot most of the time.

Thanks Jamie,Chris,Bob,and "Peytonator" for the replies. Bob: I let these go. I will most definitely be using that smoke recipe in the very near future. Will post a story on it for sure. If you smoke some before me,let us know how they turn out. "Peytonator": Texas rig a night crawler on a size six cricket hook. Put a size five or six shot on about six inches above the hook. Cast out and bounce the worm off of the bottom. During the winter time I usually let the worm sit on the bottom longer before bouncing it.(Slow retrieve). If you are using the drop shot method you will not go wrong with that! Fred "Rionator" and Mike "USMC_GY" use it all the time and are drop shot Gurus. Side Note: The fish were full of fight. The ultra light really got a work out!

Banker, I guess you could call that a "split-shot rig" for gills, huh?

Thanks! I'll have to give that a try. The drop shot is great, I think I started using it after the first time I fished with Fred. He definitely knows how to catch some big sunfish, I was with him when he caught that huge redear that was the official Dunlap record for a little bit before you took it over! I think you were the one that took it to get weighed and us 3 ate at Jack in the Box that day too. Haven't heard from him in awhile, hope he's doing alright.

It seems like like yesterday when I met you guys at the Dunlap ramp to get that BIG Redear. As for the record Mike took it over for awhile and then I busted it this last April with a nice 2 plus pound fish. As for the Jack In the Box. We still eat there on occasion. Let me know if you plan on being back in our area. Would love to fish with ya,have dinner, and tell some stories.

You have one very nice fishing hole there Chuck. Nothing beats a super place to fish. Side Note: Is that pond stocked? Also how old is the pond if you know?
