Creek has been up for days and flowing over damns at Miller.
Plan to scout and check it out End of the week.

Do tell .......... where?
from reading the forums,, , I would have guessed that after the rain, the lake temp needed to go up a little for the spawn to start.
it seems every fish is a hybrid until its landed.
see also is it a hybrid / I think its a hybrid

Take a deep breath. Not much use going out there now. The sun's coming out soon, the mud will dry up a bit, the water will settle down and clear up, skies will be blue, birds singing...Friday is looking awesome.

Soooo I just got back from RC. It's my first year for the run and I'm excited. I live right down the street. I went to miller and there was no way to get down there, construction workers on site and too muddy. so I went over to 66 bridge. It's is incredibly muddy, water was up and flowing good but there was so much garbage picked up the top of the water was solid with debree and trash. That's my first time down there so I just followed the walking trail down the bank on the south side of the bridge towards the train tracks. No bites after an hour or so.
That's my report today. Just keeping you guys up to date. What lures do they normally hit on?

There are a couple of dams that have been put up for the bridge construction, and it's very unlikely that any fish are going to cross them. It's possible that some will, but those dams weren't put in until after last year's run, and due to the drought, they didn't even come up past miller then. Given that conditions really haven't changed that much, I don't see them swimming over those dams in large numbers. Blue Fox spinners work really well. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Blue-Fox-reg-Classic-Vibrax-reg-Spinners/701879.uts I've done well with the 1/8 oz. Also hard to beat Zoom albino tiny flukes with a 1/16oz jig head. Once you find your groove, it's easy to pull in a lot of fish. I know it's hard to wait, but you've seen first hand (like I have) what it's like just after a lot of rain. Muddy, debris, opaque water, and not one bite. It's just not much fun. This weekend should be great though.

Any good places to put a kayak in on the creek? Miller Road looks good on google earth but I didn't know if the construction would make things difficult. I'm fairly new to the area and might give this a shot this weekend.
Thanks

Thanks Not really. The construction at miller will keep you from putting in there. I have seen some people in the creek with kayaks, and there are some sections so shallow you have to get up and drag it. You'd be much better off coming in from the lake.
