Keep in mind that the weather is effecting everyone the same...ask your self this..."are you a fair weather fisherman or are you hardcore". If push come to shove, take a vacation day and go fishing.

I get it. I'm not above fishing in adverse conditions...it's just frustrating when you only have 1-2 days a month to go, as I've had lately, & have to face a day on the water like that & knowing it's going to be a very tough bite.

Come 25 mph winds or freezing rains on Sunday, I'm going dammit...more so out of self-preservation, though. I'm driving my wife nuts not fishing.

I haven't actually caught a fish myself since last August. Went out once in November and once in January and got skunked both times. Went out in February with dad and he caught two and I didn't get any. Fortunately, the last two fish I caught were a 5 and a 7, but it's been a long cold streak since then.

I will say it's not all in your head. Some of the issue is what my wife has in her head regarding how many times she thinks it's reasonable for a father of two young children to leave the whole family at home to chase slimy green things.
