Yeah most trailers are shackled the same just have to use flat iron thick enough for your application! I used 3/8 thick which is more than enough for my boat. But rick your boat small I beam?? Lol roflmao

You need to run your flat down under past your springs.I thinking you may still hang up.Have been running my setup for about 15 years.I have had to put it to the test more than I care remember.I will have to pull off on wheel to show you my setup.

it is the lowest point to a inch below my axle, and by that time I should be back on the tire surface. I really want to ru. It out past and under the axle that way the tail end can have some more support. I figure if I bend 3/8" flat iron im in deep trouble anyway.

You could box that on each side with triangle shaped pieces to greatly improve strength. I know the 3/8" metal you used has your confidence level up, but I've found overkill to be underrated.


If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!
