Got a limit in three hours today. Freezer is starting to look pretty good. We need some more rain. The flow in the creek is slowing down.

With the water flow slowing way down, these fish will turn their tail and head back to the lake. We need some rain to keep these fish in the creeks. This cold front should help slow things down a little, but we need the extra water from any showers we can get, or this spawn could end in the creeks sooner than we would like.

What can I say. I just had to go one more time before this cold front and rain sets in. Arrived at 11:30 and caught nine one after another. Three of those were throw backs. They were legal, but looked small compared to what I have been catching, so I let them go. Maybe I should have kept them, because the bite just died by 12:00. Managed to pick up few more nice size fish before the rain came. Banks got slippery real quick. Decided I was done around 1:00, so I packed it up and came home with ten for the day. Downstream from the bridge, not to far from the parking area.

We both hooked a bow fin each but could not land them. Also got into some smaller crappie.

All fish were caught on 1/16oz jig heads with 1.5 inch pan fish assassin's. Before today all were caught on white and clear with flakes. Once the sun came up today, they would not touch a white one. Just had to bounce it off the bottom. I had 7 fish before the sun came up on one sand bar but 5 were to small. Once the sun came up they were off that sand bar. I perfer not to say we're I was fishing. All fish were caught in deep water. If I could see the bottom there were no fish to be caught.
