Just got back from the barge. Real slow fishing, but I did get a 3 lbs lbm on a minnow. There were a couple of crappies caught, but again, real slow

Are the large mouths caught outside or inside?

I caught mine inside in the Carp hole on a minnow. Ive also caught 1 casting a plug towards shore outside of it.

yall better listen to "tuck4x4" he knows everything there is to know about the barge. Including the carp that does and does not happen.

Nada!

I went out there last week twice around 10 pm to check it out because I had never been there before. Both nights I didn't catch anything but saw that the regulars were able to catch a crappie once an hour it seemed like. The keepers were caught outside and under size ones were caught inside. The 2nd night I was there I got a few bites while jigging outside by where the other guys were but I couldn't set the hook when I felt the thumps, might of been perch though.

Ok guys. Been really busy. Sorry.

Keep in mine if we really ever start to kill them I will post but feel free to post on here and I will try to let you know.

Update. They fishing has been ok. At night getting 2-8 keepers. With a good amount of throw backs. Not going to lie it's been hard work getting them! Never saw them go threw so many colors on one night. Orange green blue blk. It's almost funny. And they are all shallow. (For me) some as shallow as 2' no more then 10'.

Was doing good last week was something like 6-5-8-1-0 keeper that's number each night. So go to bad. Lol.

And that's where we are at. Really hard to post when it's good or bad. My 1 fear is to post a killer night and then it go south the next night and make ppl mad. But that's why it's called fishing right. Lol.

Well last night I got 5 keepers but only just before 1:30-2:00am. Then they shut off. Don't know how they did this morning. Sorry.

How has the barge been lately

Last I checked it was on and off and a lot of small fish any day now its going to get good just when is the question.

Question. I was thinking of showing a new fishing buddy around the fishing barge for the fun of it. Are several colors of the 'slab bandits' sold at the barge? I thought I might pick up a few colors while out riding around - even if the fishing wasn't on.
