And white marine tex will match the color right out of the box - makes fixing those smaller scratchs much easier.

Doug Hannon says white spooks big fish.
"..The pleasantist angling is to see the fish Cut with her golden oars the silver stream, And greedily devour the treacherous bait. Bill Shakespeare

I have had both over the years. A dark hull will show every scratch. Both will need TLC, keeping them wiped down and washed when needed AND garage kept or covered when not in use is the key. Current boat is an '05, white on white with black stripes, gray seats and carpet. White does seem cooler in the hot summer than a darker color, jmho.

Fished a ton out of my friends white Triton, very cool boat, as everyone has stated hides scratches, keep waxed well, keeping the boat cooler is optimal in texas, as heat does play on the wear of the boats finish, if I am not mistaken.
I will be back. I'm never truly gone.....Last post by Brad RIP

Your money get the boat you want, I had people tell me not to get what I got, to hot, to hard to clean, I got it and I love it, plus I think it's pretty sharp looking on the water! Go get it and enjoy!

I like white.I am not a fan of too much metal flake on a boat. The sun can reflect into the water and it sparlkes on the bottom in shallow water.Got to think that can't be good for fishing.

I would think if Flake causes a problem a white hull would would be a real big problem. Just saying.

you cant go wrong with a white boat if you don't mind cleaning it.
Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.
