I know it is very early, but by the time Cinco happens, it will be time to plan for Seis. Since Cinco was supposed to be in 06', will Seis be the end of this year or how will that work. I want to do at least 2 52 hr trips and maybe a 30 with a couple freinds and maybe the wife. I know, don't shoot me, just wanna plan.

Since I can't make the Cinco reschedule, I'm up for a 52 and/or a 30 hour trip as well. I want to try out my new AJ/Grouper rig real bad!

After not fishing at all this year, I'd also like to fish another 52 hour trip beside our Cinco expedition. Have been thinking about a trip out of Venice with Captain Scott or Damon too.

Hey TxGrizzly,
We need to pick a date to go. I would be willing to bet most trips will sell out.

Joe,
They should be starting to look into Seis Tuna shortly and be considering dates.
I'm just speaking my mind and not trying to speak for everyone. I would like it kept between 15 to 25 people. 40 people has been way to many and trying to ket everyone accommodated with dates has been a total nightmare. There is no way to make everyone happy with a group that large and there needs to be more clarification on reschedule rules. First available dates, ect. The two weekends in Nov and Dec that were available had picture perfect weather. Don't mean to sound cold hearted, but if you can't reschedule, sell your spot and get on a later trip. Waiting six more months is crazy.

My vote is we go back to Deep Sea Headquarters... with 25 people. Capt Kieth, on the Gulf Eagle.
And if Tony keeps cuda, he has to sleep with them in his bunk the whole ride in...lol

I loved the Quatro trip on the Gulf Eagle. That is a fishing boat, with uncomfortable bunks. It's an experience! The Big E seems like a cruise ship compared to the Gulf Eagle. I'd spend all my time sleeping and watching TV on the Big E. The 15 man crew on Quatro was awesome, no problems (other than keeping 'cudas and low ice) it was just 15 guys cooperating to get the bite going and keep it going as long as possible. Now if they would just fix the head on the Gulf Eagle. I'm up for either boat, but I agree, the smaller number on the Gulf Eagle was very easy to accomodate and I could remember everyone's name!

cheaper than $650, thats for sure. It is a smaller boat, and will not handle the waves as well- its a tossup between big boat/more comfort/more price vs. smaller boat/rougher ride/less comfort/less price....
Problem is going to be the amount of people interested in these trips now... so I imagine the Big E is about the best choice for the TFF trip.

Is anyone interested in a couple not TFF o-fish-al trips on either boat? Not a TFF sanctioned trip, but one where we could get 5-10 guys from here to go. I probably got spoiled on Quatro for my first trip, and I'm not sure how well the guys on an open trip work together, but to make a trip with a few TFFers would be great. Maybe get some teamwork going to get the fish biting. I got hooked on that AJ meat and need to restock! Plus I like pulling those bigguns up from the deep.

I'm down w/ the Gulf Eagle next year. really liked the crew, and the boat was adequate, if slow. I am totally for the smaller crew; less lines in the water means less chances for mayhem. JMO -B

the only time the big e is really hard to fish is during the day time when they are rig fishing and the stern is loaded with people fishing and most don't have enough weight on to fish vertical and one fish entangles several others lines. this not only happens on the big e but all party boats. also the run to the floaters that we currently fish is longer out of port aransas and with the slower boats that equates into less fishing time. however the port aransas boats do have great captians and usually good deckhands. i am happy fishing out of freeport so until the port aransas fleet upgrades or they build the preposed new floaters that will be closer to port aransas my dollars will stay in freeport....rick
