I sold a high power Shad I got for $600. A guy offered that to me and I couldn't turn it down. That was 2 weeks ago and I still can't believe someone would pay that much for a lure. You sir, had an encounter with a true idiot! Hell, even Saiko Butch tuned deps 250's aren't bringing that much.

I just can't spend that much on one lure that I could lose on my first cast at Fork.
You didn't buy any 16$ yellow magics? negative. I did get one as a gift once though.... I use H20 brand stuff. Caught my first DD on a $1.88 H20 DD22....

You didn't buy any 16$ yellow magics? Top water bait...you at least have a chance to retrieve that...totally different gig..lose it on a fish probably you're own fault..takes 30 seconds to retie or tie a good knot to begin with as in a $16.00 knot..only time you should lose a bait like that.

Those river2sea s-wavers are pretty dope. Dope! First time I've heard that word in Texas...it's a Cali thing, swimbait lingo though the more common term is "stupid" always makes me laugh...

They DO catch fish and Mike Bucca is a pretty good stick, too. Friend of mine from when he lived in N. Texas. I will see if I can get him to get over here and give you the full scoop on the Bull Shads. GREAT baits, BTW, for catching fish. Hope this helps.
Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Hi guys, My name is Mike Bucca and I am the manufacturer of the Bull Shad and have been a TFF member for quite a while and like my buddy Thad said I lived in Arlington, TX for 5 years or so so I am familiar with the waters in Texas.
We are very excited to have Anglers Pro Tackle as our first retailer in Texas. I do appreciate the comments on both sides of the coin. Before I became a swimbait guy I was a full time Spotted Bass guide here in Georgia. Back in the day all they had was trout swimbaits and they didn't have any shad profile swimbaits so I built the Bull Shad and that was something like 8-9 years ago. The popularity of my baits spread through word of mouth and 8 years later and over 50 + shops, 4 BFL wins and a College National Championship, umpteen personal bests and lower level tournament wins, Smallies over 8lbs, largemouth over 15lbs, 3 stripes over 50lbs, spots over 6lbs, shoal bass over 6lbs all because those guys had faith in our products.
I certainly don't claim to be a air brush artist. I'm far from it. But the one thing I have learned over the years is to not mess with something that works and works well. I know we are doing something right if I am a constant 2 to 5 weeks behind on orders for the past 5 + years. Can you add a better paint job? Absolutely and a lot of people do BUT, alot of people fish the bait as it is and are very successful. I fall into that category myself. Yes swimbait prices are high. If you do some research we are actually on the low end of the pricing scale in terms of custom hard swimbaits but I'd like to think we are on the high end of the catching scale based on our recent tournament record.
I consider myself a very humble person. I love our sport and I love making baits that allow people the opportunity to achieve their fishing goals and there is nothing I like more than talking and teaching people about my passion "Fishing big swimbaits". If I can be of help to anyone I would love to the opportunity to do so. pm or email me be glad to help and answer any questions you might have mbucca@comcast.net

Thanks Mike, we are very excited about carrying the Bull Shads, and from the way they are selling a lot of our customers are too.

Well said Mike, people don't understand how much time goes into making a swimbait.

They're around $50 - $60 Invest in a good lure retriever and it'll pay for itself very quickly. I have a bunch of swimbaits that look better and cost more than the Bull Shad, but I always have a Bull Shad on the deck. They flat out work.
