For Texas rigs, I've had good luck with 7" Power worms and Zoom U-tails, but I just picked up a Havoc Juice worm and I like the way it moves. I also like throwing Sweet Beavers, Brush Hogs and lizards the same way. I've recently gone to the dark side and started drop shotting and I have a big man crush on my Roboworms for that and shakeyheads.

The color selection is positively bewildering so I tend to stick to two basic color patterns. For clear water I throw some sort of greenish, usually green pumpkin or watermelon with black or red flake. For dirty water, I stick with black and blue combinations. I don't think the exact color matters that much.

+1 in green pumpkin

In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.
