Anyone have any tips on rigging when fishing the trees for cats. That way I for get caught in the limbs. Or should I Carolina it or drop shot

My new PA12 arrived last night I am very happy and excited to have this kayak. It is a 2014 model new never been wet. I want to thank Bluff Creek Marina for the kayak and even delivering it to me. Mariner Sails were also great to me but the deal I got from Bluff Creek was just unbeatable. I am sure I will be adding accessories to the boat as time goes. I look forward to spending time on the water with all fellow fisherman.
I recently have become reacquainted with a nephew that I sadly lost touch with years ago. He has fished with me a few times 2 times in a kayak. I do believe he is officially hooked! He will be buying a kayak of his own very soon. So if you see the ID "hooner" on TFF please make him feel as welcomed as everyone has made me feel.
I look forward to getting the PA12 slimed tomorrow at Lake Tawokoni! If you have any pointers or recommendations to better enhance my fishing out of a PA12 please let me know.
