Review: Three ponds in Coppell, TX

Rating: 0
Availability: Fishing welcome
Fishes: Bluegill, Gar, Carp, Bass
Where: Intersection of Luna Rd and Capital Pkwy

Description: Took my kayak out to these ponds last weekend. Water was crystal clear and you could see fish everywhere. I threw EVERYTHING from topwater, swimbaits, jigs, worms, senkos, kitchen sink, spinnerbaits, etc. Didn't get a single bite. Not one. Saw fish follow my lure, but never hit it or even nibbled at it. Four hours of my life that I will never get back.

When all else fails, make another cast.

Sounds good. Most of these reviews are a little old though

Any ponds/creeks that are decent in the Fort Worth area? I've fished Greenbriar and parts of the Trinity, skunked on both.

I think I read that the city of live Oak doesn't allow boats in the pond and lake, even small ones? I was bummed as I have an advanced elements kayak.

Tom Slick Park Pond
San Antonio Tx
1 Star

I've seen a lot of people fish here and never catch anything, but there are some videos on youtube of people catching bass in here. My guess is that they caught them right after stocking. I haven't tried it myself as it seems futile.

Has anyone tried the Wheeler park pond in San Antonio by 151, Ingram and Potranco? It's right in front of some apartments or something and there doesn't seem to be any public parking nearby so maybe it's not open to the public?
