It's all about compromises.
A standard non tunnel will take a foot to run in, twice that to get up and go.
A well setup tunnel, with hydraulic plate, right prop and compression plate can run in 4" and get up in 10" depending on how hard the bottom is.
A jet can run in 1-2" deep, if the boat can move, it can get up and go.
Mud motors can run in zero water with mud, but fall on their face on hard sand.
Air boats go wherever their horsepower can take them.

The shallower you can go, the more you compromise rough water. Why a standard tunnel/prop is the most popular.

In that case a boatright with tunnel will be my recommendation. When I had my fkatbottom/jet, the looks on people's faces when I'd fly by on my way to my duck spot always left a smile on my face.

There's a reason why Scandy White and Boatright hardly ever show up in the used boat section of the classifieds. It's because people rarely get rid of them once they own 'em. Two of the finest aluminum boat builders here in the states, and in Boatright's case, right here in Texas!

Running past guys standing in ankle deep and going between them and the bank gets some interesting reactions. Usually walk where you just ran.
