Florida bass and constantly falling water levels make fishing tough, but the fish will get used to it and then settle into new patterns. The old days of throwing at the bank (except for Spring time) on Fork are gone, if they continue a constant draw down.
People will have to figure out new patterns and ways to catch fish and those that adapt will succeed. This has been the case at Hubbard for over a year now with the water being released down stream and water being pulled out for use by Dallas for a while now.
If they really are pulling 2-5 inches a day I would try near the pump station, there should be a lot of current in that area.

Thank you. My point exactly. Everyone needs to fish different when the lake is different. The funny thing is if you want to catch a bunch of fish on Fork (quantity/size) you need to spend more than a few hours to half a day on the lake to figure them out.

I piddled around out there today and only caught 3, but the smallest was 3.5#. I also set the hook on a huge goo that knocked the fire out of my jig and about gave me a heart attack until I saw what it was. The wind made it tough to flip the water that I wanted. I hadn't been out there since before that last front and man that water temp dropped! It was 49 when I launched at Val's. I probably only saw 5 boats all day.

Same here... Only thing I caught were brush piles and stumps... And probably lost ten bucks in jigs. Slade, what part of the lake you in? I was on the north east side yesterday but I wasn't out there very long. I fished the same area most of the day on Tuesday. And I fished all day on Weds. The morning over there again, weds afternoon I went to the west side fished north of 515 the entire time on the west side.

The Sand bass have been a blessing for Fork..especially for the guides. One fact no one has mentioned in the low water talk is the fact that the bait fish will be easier for the Sand bass to eat..who knows, there could be a world record caught at Fork soon.
The TFF never disappoints, always entertaining.

Rolled into town Wednesday afternoon. Left Saturday morning. We caught two crappie under 154 wed evening. Fished some roadbeds and birch for bass after turkey on Thursday. Nothing. Had a small one on and lost it. Tried at the hump near the dam on Friday. 2 crappie, a barfish, and a couple of whites. Probably the worst trip I've had. Still had fun.

Wonder if any of those fish will lock through as well?

9' pipeline.... I don't know how screened the intake is but you can bet those lakes will get some new genetics.
