Count down baits, target suspended bass. So many times we're fishing under the fish.. Thank you-Mark Pack.

I focused on casting without back lashing the crud out of my reels. Haha. I can't tell you how many times I'd lash up a fresh spool of Seaguar only to lose a fish on the next cast because I kinked my flourocarbon. Sounds kinda lame, I know, but I have respooled my favorite reel at least 8 times this year.

I have only been fishing a couple of years and what I really tried to work on this year was adjusting my equipment to increase my hook-up rate. My tendency was to use too heavy of a rod and believe it or not I was struggling most with a T-rig and traps/square-bills. I was catching fish but was losing more than I thought I should have been. Making a few simple adjustments helped tremendously.

Secondly, I burned a lot of gas while trying to learn how to better interpret what I was seeing on 2D, SI, DS. I was usually able to do this with schoolers but not with fish on isolated structurethis year I was able to finally start seeing fish, marking them, and able catch a few.

Lastly and most importantly the biggest thing I learned this year isthe more I think I have learned the more I realize I haven't even scratched the surface. A big thanks to all of you guys that post here and willingly share your knowledge. Thanks
